The Reason Why I Chose Japanese

I chose to learn Japanese for multiple reasons. Since it's not far away from my hometown Wuxi, China, I've travelled to Japan many times and become really interested in the culture there. Also, under my mother's influence (she is obsessed with flowers), I learned Ikebana with a sensei in Shanghai. I sometimes watch anime when I'm free as well. Basically, I just find myself constantly get in touch with Japanese culture and right now should be a perfect time for me to start learning one of the most essential parts of it--the language. Fortunately, the elementary class I'm taking right now is very suitable for me to lay a solid foundation for future study and I am really enjoying it. I'm considering about studying abroad in Japan, maybe in my Junior year. I will work hard toward that.
